Term 1 English Reflection

My favourite part of this term was the speeches , I enjoyed writing it because my topic was about ¨ What being rich really means ¨  and that gave me understanding of why everyone should cherish quality family time.

The thing that I found challenging about this class was the English basic books , it was boring and took time so it just made it really boring.

A way I can improve my English skills is by not distracting myself and listening to the teacher properly instead of daydreaming.

The way I can achieve this improvement is by taking a nice goodnight rest and come to school with a nice and good attitude ready for learning.

Scary Nightmare Paragraph🫣😟

Nightmare

In the depths of the forest lies an isolated and deserted home , a faint humming coming from the basement of the frozen house . The broken clock strikes 12, the ground shakes as the kids hurry out the building . Some tiles fall behind them as they speed out of the near collapsing home , “Idina where are you ??” calls Dave with his crackling voice and trembling feet . “I’m here” shouts out Idina whilst covered in a pile of leaves . Peeking from the corner of their eyes stands a pale , stone faced bloodcurdling figure wearing a hospital gown weeping as she grows closer to Idina and Dave . Frightened for their lives they run off deeper into the oasis never to be laid eyes on again .

Maths

Today in Maths we are learning about place value

We played a game called High Wins.  The aim of the game is to get the highest number at the end.  I learnt that you can’t have the same numbers twice in the game . It’s kind of a competitive game but it’s still kind of fun.

 

 

 

All about me

Yesterday I made a poster all about me. I was learning to properly use a google drawing and learnt how to insert a background because my good friend Tegan taught me . I want to learn how to insert shape pictures cause I forgot how to. I learnt how to insert word art from my 2  teachers Whaea Jess and Whaea Kylie!.
